Karlie Kloss x Warby Parker

Though I have not yet expressed this publicly, but I have an absolutely Huge girl crush on Karlie Kloss. Not only is she beautiful, she is a very guanine woman. I was beyond excited when I first heard in Vogue that Warby Parker would be creating an exclusive collection with the help of Karlie’s collaboration!

If you don’t know what Warby Parker is, you definitely should as they are creating an entirely new pathway in the eyewear market. They strive for “Boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at revolutionary prices,” and are successfully able to do so by eliminating the middleman in their supply chain. Not only do their extremely cute glasses come in a very reasonable cost and are extremely stylish and cute, they have an excellent try-on-program for those who cannot visit a near-by store. You definitely need to check it out! When I plan on getting a new pair of glasses, I am definitely going to use WP to find the best fit for me.

Other than being forwarding-thinking and hip, I really appreciate their values of philanthropy throughout the company and in serving the larger community. Even more so when you purchase a pair of Karlie Kloss X Warby Parker frames, Warby Parker makes a donation to Karlie’s favorite charity: Edible Schoolyard NYC.

Though Karlie’s frames for WP are a bit on the pricey side for Warby Parker ($145)–and this is not including prescription–I am fearful this may deter some. However, Karlie has such a huge following that I know will bring in many existing and new customers to Warby Parker. Thankfully, this exclusive collection has the option for try-at-home before you make a purchase-just to make sure the frames fit correctly and are satisfactory to you expectation–though I would be surprised if they weren’t.

The collection feels a tad vintage and almost retro inspired, beginning with classic aviators (the Julia) to the more circle (the Clara) and winged frames (the Marple) found in the 50’s and 60’s.

My favorite is the Clara in either color. I will definitely have to stop by one of WP’s stores downtown to try on a pair! Cannot Wait!

I am so excited for this collaboration for Warby Parker, with one of my idols, and I am eager to see what other collaborations they have in store in the future!

XOXO
